what is simplytranslate?
simplytranslate is the open-source front-end that proxies translation engines without the tracking: no account, no logging, and a choice of backends - the translate page for people who do not want their paragraphs filed by an advertising company.
translation queries can be among the most sensitive text you type - the instance model exists precisely so they need not go anywhere identifiable. the onion endpoint listed by the directories closes the last loop.
the address tracked here is the listed one, probed continuously with everything else.
before you trust any of this
- .onion addresses are long on purpose. one wrong letter = someone else's server.
- if a service matters to you, cross-check its address against its own clearnet site or PGP-signed announcements.
- a green badge here means "reachable", never "trustworthy". we report reachability only.
