RFE/RL[official]

what is rfe/rl?

radio free europe/radio liberty is the us-funded broadcaster serving countries where free media are under pressure, publishing in over 20 languages. russia has formally designated it an "undesirable organization" and blocks its sites - which makes anonymous access a literal necessity for russian readers, who face legal risk merely for visiting.

rfe/rl's own circumvention guidance publishes five onion mirrors: the english website, the russian service (svoboda), the ukrainian service, the belarusian service and the russian-language current time project. each is a full mirror of the corresponding newsroom, reachable only inside the tor network.

all five addresses tracked here come from rfe/rl's own how-to-bypass-blocking page - not from forums or copycat directories. they are probed continuously; green means that newsroom's door is answering.

before you trust any of this

• .onion addresses are long on purpose. one wrong letter = someone else's server.
• if a service matters to you, cross-check its address against its own clearnet site or PGP-signed announcements.
• a green badge here means "reachable", never "trustworthy". we report reachability only.
